Analysis of Wind Field Characteristics of Ideal V-Shaped and U-Shaped Canyons

As an important part of road transportation, bridge engineering plays a pivotal role in infrastructure construction. The wind field characteristics the site area have essential influence on both construction and operation period bridge, especially mountainous canyon terrain. In this paper, numerical simulation using computational fluid dynamics software was conducted to examine intricate regions. study focused ideal V-shaped U-shaped canyons, aiming investigate various parameters. These parameters included three distinct heights, seven angles, widths canyon. findings indicate that acceleration effect weakens as angles or increase. speed amplification gradually disappears when angle exceeds 160° has width-to-height ratio approximately 5:1. strengthens height increases. exhibits linear relationship with canyon, while it demonstrates logarithmic width Additionally, factor follows distribution along height. observed offer valuable insights for future designs regions featuring canyons.
